Lanzarote - my island

What makes Lanzarote so special?

Although it is a small island, barely covering 800 square kilometres, it is home to a wide variety of natural and cultural attractions that you are able to enjoy.

The last volcanic eruptions took only place in the 19th century, and they have left a wild and spectacular landscape of unique beauty.

The island where the four elements converge: Earth, water, air and fire.

The Fire Mountains in the Timanfaya National Park are one of the most spectacular places on earth! It is where you can still feel the heat of the volcano in the palm of your own hand.

A protected place of unusual and enigmatic beauty that will amaze you.

In Lanzarote you will connect with the ocean.

If you are looking for peace and quietness, you will find it in many of its beaches, coves and natural pools with their crystal clear waters.

If you are looking for thrills, you can get them by practising any of the water sports that the island has to offer.

Immerse yourself in a new world full of life by diving or freediving, get your adrenaline pumping by surfing, wind or kite surfing and have a great time jet skiing, parasailing or fly boarding.

Lanzarote attracts countless travellers of different nationalities and cultures.

For those who are looking for something more than sun and beach, Lanzarote offers an unusual cultural richness.

The birthplace of the great artist Cesar Manrique, who left his legacy for the enjoyment of the islands visitors, is always linked to the diverse cultural traditions of the Lanzarote people.

In Lanzarote there is never a shortage of things to do or places to visit.

From families with children, bohemian art lovers, nature and sea lovers to elite sportsmen and women.

Whatever your reason for visiting, Lanzarote will never disappoint you.

UNESCO declared Lanzarote in 1993 a Biosphere Reserve

It is the second biosphere reserve in the Canary Islands, but it was the first time that UNESCO declared an entire territory as a reserve - this includes all counties of the island. It is undoubtedly proof the successful coexistence between the inhabitants of the island and their natural environment.

You only have to get here to realise that the inhabitants of the island take care of the environment and are aware of its natural wealth and the value it offers.

Throw your clothes out of the window and come and enjoy your dream holiday.

Happiness is waiting for you.

Look for the ideal moment now.
